AACVPR Event Recognizes Rehabilitation\u2019s Key Role in Reducing Effects of Heart Disease<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 18, 2021 \u2013 During American Heart Month, the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) has designated February 14-20 as Cardiac Rehabilitation Week, recognizing rehabilitation\u2019s key role in reducing the effects of heart disease. Residents and care team members at Roosevelt Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in northeast Philadelphia joined in this year\u2019s \u201cBeating Strong, Living Long\u201d themed event. The skilled nursing facility<\/a> recently launched a Cardiopulmonary Care Program designed to meet the healthcare needs of area residents. The specialized program aims\u202fto promote independence and quality of life through reducing symptoms and decreasing disability in heart and lung patients while increasing their participation in physical and social activities.<\/p>\n
