Residents and care team members at Roosevelt Rehabilitation &amp; Healthcare Center in northeast Philadelphia joined in this year\u2019s \u201cBeating Strong, Living Long\u201d themed event. Pictured (L-R) are Roosevelt\u2019s Bridgette Bennett, director of nursing, and Scott Pfeffer, DO, FACC, cardiac director.<\/p>\n<p>Located at 7800\u202fBustleton\u202fAvenue, Roosevelt provides post-hospital care, short-term <a href=\"https:\/\/rooseveltrehab.com\/subacute-rehab\/\">subacute rehab<\/a>, and residential <a href=\"https:\/\/rooseveltrehab.com\/long-term-care\/\">long-term care<\/a>. The <a href=\"\/\">skilled nursing facility<\/a> recently launched a Cardiopulmonary Care Program designed to meet the healthcare needs of area residents. The specialized program aims\u202fto promote independence and quality of life through reducing symptoms and decreasing disability in heart and lung patients while increasing their participation in physical and social activities.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1985, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aacvpr.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AACVPR<\/a> is a multidisciplinary professional association for those in the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation field.
